You probably can guess, that the Davids I meant are David Cook and David Archuleta, finalist of 7th season of American Idol. I have watch them previously on several episodes of AI and I think they are good singer, that’s why I was wondering how the songs on their new album will sound like.

I like both of their single crush which is ear catching, and the time of my life which has nice music and great lyric. Ok, here are the songs list on their album:

As anyone would have expected Arhuleta’s album more into ballads pop songs and Cook’s album more into rock. There is no song that I don’t like at all in both album. Everyone would have their favorites songs. I have listened to the songs for like three times or so. The tracks that I can enjoy so far in Archuleta’s album are touch my hands, my hand, barrier, a little too not over you, Angels.

I just have little regret that the album is too teenage thingy for me. I was expecting that I would find song with depth meaning, like when he sang John Lenon – Imagine, it was very good. Well, t ere is Angels which is quite good, but I can’t say it is better than Robbie Williams version. However, most teenager would like the album I guess.

As for Cook’s album I like several songs so far, Permanent ( like the music and also his voice), Heroes,  and Life on the moon. I don’t know is it because I have only heard the songs in this album several time, but I just think the album of a former Idol finalist, Chris Daughtry,  a little bit better than this.

Anyway, although the albums are not great, both of them are good and recommended (* if you like the genre of music). Which one is better? Hmm I can’t really compare them head to head since they have different type of music.
